Securing the Crop Microbiome
for Agri-bioscience Research

The UK Crop Microbiome Cryobank project integrates genomic and metagenomic data with a cryobank collection of samples, for the microbiomes of the UK’s major crops. The genomic and metagenomic data, alongside comprehensive meta data, is available through the project’s agmicrobiomebase catalogue, accessed below. The catalogue allows users to access the microbiomes of specific crop-soil combinations and the sequence data deposited into the European Nucleotide Archive (ENA) and linked to the MGnify resource. The ENA study accession is PRJEB58189*. Agmicrobiomebase hosts microbiome data from 9 UK soil types for barley, oats, oil seed rape, sugar beet and wheat. The microbiomes are for bulk soil and the crop rhizosphere.
